Position Summary

The Department of Economics and Marketing in the Romain College of Business at the University of Southern Indiana invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing position to begin in August 2027.

Duties/Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the undergraduate Marketing program, with opportunities to teach in the MBA program. Teaching responsibilities will include introduction to marketing and other marketing courses based on department needs. Marketing faculty are expected to pursue innovative teaching practices, maintain an active research program, provide academic advising to marketing students, and provide service at the program, university, and community levels.

Required Knowledge and Skills

A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited College of Business with a concentration in Marketing is required. Applicants with ABD status will be considered for the rank of Instructor until degree is completed.

About the Department

The Romain College of Business is dual accredited by the AACSB for business and accounting and plays an important role in the economic and social development of the region. The college currently enrolls approximately 1,100 undergraduate business majors across eight different programs and more than 1,000 MBA students across multiple concentrations. The college operates several state-of-the-art labs providing faculty access to high-quality resources for teaching and research. These labs include the Biometrix Discovery Lab which will be part of the college’s new Center for Applied Business Technologies scheduled to open in fall 2026.
