Position Summary
Provide administrative support for the Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing Programs in the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide support to the program chairs and faculty including credit card use & reconciliation and purchasing through the university procurement system,
- Collect and collate accreditation documents and curriculum documents.
- Establish and maintain student files and databases to facilitate student selection and orientation.
- Maintain and track health documentation for students in health record management platform.
- Provide support for the undergraduate and graduate nursing program(s) student selection processes.
- Assist in development, maintenance and improvement of the student information system by establishing files on new students; entering in database programs; updating statistics; preparing current lists, mailing labels, and sheets of statistical data from the file reports.
- Maintain inventory of program supplies, materials, resources, and classroom equipment. Order new supplies and equipment as needed and place in inventory.
- Contribute to the update of student and faculty handbooks.
- Coordinate processes for course scheduling, section changes, room rescheduling, and book orders.
- Help maintain program and Blackboard information websites.
- Maintain close working relationships with Graduate Studies department.
- Work with Kinney College administrative assistants to complete administrative tasks and support activities of the college as needed.

Required Knowledge and Skills
- High school diploma or GED and two years office or comparable work experience required.
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, databases, electronic mail and internet programs required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task required.
- Strong problem solving skills required.
- Ability to be flexible and the willingness to learn new responsibilities in a short time required.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills
College degree or some college coursework preferred.
Knowledge of Banner a plus.
Functional Requirements
This position requires remaining in a stationary position at a desk or work station for extended periods of time for the majority of assigned duties.
Position requires the use of computers and computer systems (hardware and software) to enter data, to retrieve and process information and to create documents.
Position requires the ability to retrieve information from written documents and from computer-generated reports.
This position requires effective problem solving and the presentation of a professional demeanor while meeting deadlines and achieving critical outcomes, even under demanding conditions such as multiple priorities and short-notice deadlines.
Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements
Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Hours may be adjusted for program/center coverage needs.
An occasional change in schedule and/or overtime may be required.
