Position Summary

The University of Southern Indiana seeks applications for a 10-month Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions. The position is tenure track and promotion eligible. The appointment will begin as soon as the position is filled.

Duties/Responsibilities 

This position is responsible for teaching responsibilities in the graduate nursing program.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree and an unencumbered Indiana RN (or compact) license. Candidates in the process of completing their doctoral degree will be considered. The successful candidate must possess a doctoral degree by the start date of employment.

Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements

Regular work hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional irregular hours may be required.

About the College

The faculty in the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions work collaboratively with nursing and other health care professional faculty. The support for faculty’s teaching, practice and scholarship activities are substantially enhanced through grants and other extramural funding. A cutting-edge Clinical Simulation Center is used to enhance student learning and support innovative teaching.

The college, in addition to university support, Kinney College's technology team supports online and in-classroom teaching for MSN and DNP program courses. A dedicated Advising Center for the College provides support for student advising and related activities. All programs are fully accredited and have an exemplary record of grant award successes.
