Position Summary
The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana invites applications for a 1-Year Temporary 9-month Teaching Assistant Professor of Geology to begin August 2025. The Department of Geology, Physics, and Environmental Science seeks an applicant who can teach structure and tectonics/neotectonics as well as other courses related to our Geology and Environmental Science programs, such as GIS, remote sensing, and/or other subjects in the successful candidate’s specialty area.
Duties/Responsibilities
This position includes classroom and laboratory teaching assignments in introductory courses for majors and non-majors.
Required Knowledge and Skills
A Doctorate in Geology or closely related field is required. Doctoral candidates will be considered at the rank of Instructor if the terminal degree is not conferred by hire date.
